Actually I got back a couple days ago, just being lazy again. (Also a bit jetlagged).

New York was pretty nice, in some regards better than expected, in others not so much. I had not walked so much in 10 years, though, and I just discovered that I can't walk 12 hours without stop like I did when I was 20, curses! I ended up so tired every day that after 8 pm I could do nothing.

And even with all my walking I couldn't see many places I wanted to see. I guess I will have to return in a few years.

It seems after a couple years postponing I will finally be going to New York this month, something I have wanted to do for a while.

Just a few days and just for sightseeing. But maybe I will be able to do this every year, I have a long, long list of cities I want to see.

My computer died.

It seems there was a shortcircuit and basically everything got destroyed, including my two HDs, which means my backups are lost too. I have lost... a chunk of my life, including translations, RPing logs, writings, mail, etc, etc. I am in shock. I have a few things backuped in old HDs and Zips, but little from the last couple years. There is a small chance some things can be recovered, but it will be expensive. Not to mention the dead motherboard and powersource.

So... if I seem to be particularly cranky (yes, even more than normal!) during the nest few days, you know why.

Hell, first post in months and it is to whine.

Okay, I am shutting up now.

Second time in three weeks, after a long year on good health. Bad luck I guess. But my throat is killing me and I have some fever, so I need to whine.

Or I would if I wasn't so listless. I guess it is Neverwinter for me, instead of finishing all those Mux apps I should be finishing.

Yesterday a Trojan (TR/Forteen.Java.2) invaded my computer. No freaking way to kill it. Grrrr. Not with Avir or Norton or any anti-trojan I have. At the end I decided to delete IExplorer with my IErradicator and try Mozilla for a while. It was about time. Mozilla seems okay, although it is hard to navigate my bookmarks (that must be because I have a thousand of them, too).

Anyway, enough with the whining, time to beat the crap outta Mephistopheles.

RP Characters

Part 1. I am pretty sure I am forgetting a few characters, but on the top of my head...

1. The Happiest?

I don't play happy characters often, to say the truth, but probably that one would be Loki. For a god of evil that never wins, that guy took life with an enviable sense of humor, and he never really gave up. He never angsted!

2. The most Depressed and unhappy with life?

James Proudstar at Cota3. Poor bastard -really- hated his life, although things started to look better when he started dating Dani. Piotr at X-Myth was also pretty depressed/angsty, but I haven’t played him much.

3. Easily Gets angry?

Nate. That boy has serious anger management problems. Ultraviolent, too.

4. Would rather be alone most of the time?

Probably Adam Warlock. He used to put a few million miles between himself and anything alive regularly, often for days, whenever humans got too annoying. Also Marius, since he thought nobody but his sister was worthy of his company.

5. Annoying as hell?

Both Nate and Scott can be annoying as hell. Ironically because one is an irresponsible stupid teen and the other is an uber-responsible control freak. Gotta love those Summers’ boys.

6. Just a complete asshole?

Marius. He was TEH EVUL.
Although Nate and Ian/Taskmaster can also being assholes, and usually are. But they have some redeeming qualities.

7. Would jump in front of a Bullet to save their Friends?

Piotr, without thinking, and he usually does. Most of the other ‘good’ characters would too, but Piotr is the only one that would sacrifice himself without hesitancy.
Nate too, without thinking because he never thinks.
Adam would too, but only if he thought he had a reasonable chance to survive.

8. Shy and not very talkative?

I have problems RPing that kind of character, I find them a bit boring, and it is hard to find reasons to RP with them. Scott and James can be very introspective and quiet, though, and brooding too.

9. Full of themselves?

Marius, most arrogant ever! Loki was pretty bad too, but at least he had good reasons.

10. Always ready for fight?

Nate.

11. Would find the best way to avoid a fight?

Adam Warlock. He dislikes violence and usually has 6 backup plans for every situation. He has also good reasons to want to avoid fighting given his screwed up healing system.

12. Needs Company 24/7?

None, really. But Nate tends to be the most social, and hates to be alone.

13. Loves the sound of their own voice?

That would be Loki. He had to explain his plans to everybody, all the time.

14. Tries to be the leader of the pack?

Scott.

15. Wants revenge?

Nate. Gives him an excuse for #10 and #3.

Part 2

1. Who is your Main Character?

None, really. I have played Adam, Nate and Scott the longest.

2. Who are He/She's best friend/s?

Adam: Gambit, Arcadia and Rogue, oddly enough considering they are completely different to him.

Scott: Ororo, his fiance and soulmate. Also Magneto and... damn, he has few friends.

Nate: Marrow, they were so alike it was funny. Selene, his mentor (or so he thinks, hahaha. Idiot!). Ororo, of course.

3. Does He/She have a GF/BF/Married?

Adam: Not anymore.

Scott: He was going to marry Ororo.

Nate: He had several GFs, most notoriously Monet and Ororo, and lost them because he is an idiot. Probably will find a new one soon and lose her after a few months.

4. Does He/She have a rival? If so are they a friendly rival and do they hate each other with a passion?

Well, Loki has Thor, I never had a Thor interested or able to do plotting in a Mux. Nate had Cable for... two scenes, damn guy was Australian, although Rachel was a good sister/foil character for him, too, for a time.

5. Does your main char represent the r/l you?

Scott is painfully close to what I think I am in r/l, except he is far more heroic, of course. I am nothing like Nate! And nobody is anything close to Adam, the inhuman freak.

6. What character are you really proud you created?

It has been a long time since I have created an original character, and I am not terribly proud of those I made. But I am very proud of my write-up for Loki. He was the second character I got approved ever, the longest application I have written and damn good read too (been told so a few times).

7. Do you think about your chars alot?

Not as much as I used to, must be getting old...

8. Do you ever wish you could meet your chars in r/l?

Some of them. I find Piotr and Scott admirable in many regards. I wouldn’t want to live in the same continent Nate did, though, or the same planet Marius did.

9. Do you remember the moment you created your first Char?

Vaguely, it was for tabletop D&D an embarrassing amount of time ago. I perfectly remember my first apps for Muxes, though, and actually I still keep the logs and character write-up on Word. They are embarrassing too.

10. Is Originality important to you when creating a Character?

No. RP-ability is far more important. Some of the most interesting and fun characters are almost complete stereotypes. Originality is nice, but hardly important.

11. Do you ever look at somebody's character and wish it was yours?

Some times, but it is mostly 'damn, I wish I could pose/write/plot as well as that player' followed by me trying harder.

12. Can you see yourself keeping this up in the future?

Oh yes. I have been RPing for more time some of my friends have been alive, this is a hobby for life for me.
